About TownTongue

A place name is more than letters on a road sign. It carries local history, everyday habits, and the unmistakable sound of home. TownTongue is being built to give that knowledge a voice.

Our idea is simple: locals record their town, street, and landmark names, and curious listeners try to pick the pronunciation people actually use. A map helps you explore; a shareable score gives you a reason to challenge a friend.

We’re starting small, with the goal of testing one state before expanding. Community recordings, sponsored regional packs, and media licensing are part of the vision—not claims of a nationwide library already in place.
